Back in black

Ok, so other commitments that have been severely eating in to my writing time have finally buggered off for a bit. I have now have time to concentrate on my novel again…oh bollocks, I’ll have to think of some other excuses not to finish it now…answers on a postcard, please.
The plan is (yes, I have a plan – stop laughing) to get a first draft finished before November. If I can do this then it means I can put it a way for a while and crack on with a new idea for NaNo (of which I have many – ideas that is).
That’s not too bad; in fact it should be pretty easy…HA! Famous last words.
I’m at around the 80k mark of my novel and the way its heading at the moment I think it should finish around the 100k mark.
So 20k in four months….easy peasy – works out at about 162 words a day. I write more than that on Twitter every day, so there are no excuses not to do this (although I’m sure I’ll think of plenty).
So if you could all do me a favour and keep me suitably motivated – cheering me on, suggesting fresh story twists, threats of violence if I don’t meet the word count (the usual stuff really) – then I would very much appreciate it.
Right *cracks knuckles* I’m off to make a start on that word cou…ooh look the lawn needs mowing!

If you don't work on your novel, I'll break your face.

    You're welcome.

Go for it buddy! Straight lines, up and down. Oh, sorry that was advice for the lawn!

I worked out yesterday that if I have been averaging 15 words (140 characters) since I've been on Twatter, I've written just short of 17,000 words. What a waste of words!! On top of that blogging and commenting, I could have written a novel this year. Now that's depressing!

Anyway, I was standing at the wife's grave again this evening. God love her…..she thinks I'm digging a pond!

Woo hoo! You're awesome! Keep going!

Besides cheering, I'm also good at threatening violence. Granted, I may not be all that intimidating, I do have a mean bark. Think Rottweiler in a Chihuahua body. Good luck!

Start writing Stephen or the zombie invasion will begin. On 2nd thoughts, you might like that. I kinda would.
